The Spring Awakening Tour C is a 5-day, 5-night adventure designed for guests looking for an exciting and affordable introduction to storm chasing while traveling alongside our longer April expeditions. Late April marks the beginning of peak severe weather season across the Southern Plains. Warm Gulf moisture, strengthening jet stream winds, and spring storm systems can combine to produce breathtaking supercells, giant hail, spectacular lightning displays, and the potential for tornadoes. Based out of Oklahoma City, we'll travel wherever the forecast leads us in pursuit of the best severe weather opportunities available. Our chase territory includes Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, eastern Colorado, Nebraska, and beyond. Because we follow the weather rather than a fixed route, every day offers the possibility of a completely different adventure. Each morning begins with a weather briefing where you'll learn how storm chasers analyze forecasts and select target areas. From there, we'll head out in search of the day's most promising storms while maintaining a strong focus on safety and guest experience. At Apex Storm Tours, we believe the chase is about more than tornadoes. It's about witnessing the power of nature firsthand, photographing incredible storms, meeting fellow weather enthusiasts, and creating memories that last a lifetime.
