MEET YOUR GUIDES NATHAN AND FREDDIE
Your Guides – Nathan & Freddie
Freddie and I have been friends since we were kids. We grew up on the same street together. Long before Apex Storm Tours was ever an idea, we were building trust the old fashioned way. That is through 44 years of friendship, coaching youth sports together, and showing up for each other.
I’ve been into weather since I was a kid. I’ve spent years studying storm structure, forecasting setups, and learning how storms evolve across Tornado Alley. I've logged thousands of hours grinding across Great Plains learning severe weather. It’s something I’m deeply passionate about. I’ve put in the time, and I’ve developed a feel for storms and positioning that helps us stay a step ahead when conditions start changing fast.
I've always chased behind the scenes and not in the public's eye, until now. I'm extremely confident in my ability to operate smoothly even under pressure. I do not take lightly the fact that I have guests counting on me to keep them safe during a tour. I understand that first and foremost it my responsibility to make sure everybody safely gets home to their families. Freddie and I have families as well. We understand what's at stake when out on the road chasing storms. We take that responsibility seriously.
Freddie is newer to storm chasing outside of the seasons we’ve chased together — and that’s exactly why I chose him to be my driver.
I didn’t pick him because he chases storms every day.
I picked him because I trust him.
He’s steady. Calm. Cool under pressure. He doesn’t panic. He doesn’t overreact. When things get intense — and they can — he stays level. That matters more than hype or ego in this line of work.
Storm chasing isn’t just about reading radar. It’s about decision-making, communication, and trust inside the vehicle. And I trust Freddie completely.
When you ride with Apex Storm Tours, you’re riding with two lifelong friends who respect the storm, respect the responsibility of leading others, and rely on each other when it counts.
