APEX STORM TOURS – SPRING AWAKENING EXPEDITION (TOUR B) April 24 – April 30, 2027 Experience the excitement of Tornado Alley during one of the most dynamic periods of the severe weather season. The Spring Awakening Expedition is a 7-day, 7-night storm chasing adventure designed for guests who want an immersive chase experience while traveling alongside our flagship tour. Late April often marks the beginning of the Southern Plains severe weather season as rich Gulf moisture, strengthening jet stream winds, and powerful spring storm systems combine to produce supercells, giant hail, spectacular lightning displays, and the potential for tornadoes. Based out of Oklahoma City, we will travel wherever the forecast leads us in pursuit of the best severe weather opportunities available. Our chase territory includes Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, eastern Colorado, Nebraska, and beyond. No fixed route means maximum flexibility to position for the best storms each day. Every morning begins with a weather briefing where you'll learn how storm chasers identify target areas and make forecasting decisions. From there, we'll head out in search of the day's most promising storms while maintaining a strong focus on safety and guest experience.
