Drylines sharpen, Gulf moisture surges northward, and the Southern Plains begin to come alive with supercells, dramatic lightning displays, giant hail, and the potential for tornadoes. Our 9-Day Spring Awakening Expedition is designed for those who want to experience the full adventure of storm chasing. Rather than being tied to a single location, we'll travel wherever the forecast leads us—from the Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma to Kansas, eastern Colorado, Nebraska, and beyond. Every morning begins with a forecasting discussion where you'll learn how storm chasers identify target areas. Once a target is selected, we'll hit the road in pursuit of the day's best opportunity. Some days may involve long drives, while others may place us directly beneath towering supercells just a short distance from our hotel. Every season is different, and that's part of the adventure.
