SPRING AWAKENING EXPEDITION April 24–30, 2027 | 7 Days / 7 Nights Late April. The Southern Plains are waking up. Gulf moisture is surging north, powerful storm systems are crossing the Rockies, and Tornado Alley is entering one of the most exciting stretches of the year. This is Spring Awakening. For seven days, you'll chase across the Great Plains with Apex Storm Tours in pursuit of supercells and tornadoes across some of the most legendary storm country on Earth. And we aren't tied to one location. Texas Panhandle lighting up? We're going. Western Oklahoma looks better? We're there. If tomorrow's setup shifts into Kansas, Colorado, or Nebraska, we move with it. Seven days gives us the freedom to follow the atmosphere and put you where the action is. Every morning, you'll sit down with us as we analyze the forecast and choose our target. Then we load up and hit the road. You'll watch storms develop from the first towering clouds on the horizon to mature, rotating supercells stretching across the Plains. You'll experience the anticipation of approaching a storm, the decisions that go into positioning, and the adrenaline of watching a powerful supercell evolve right in front of you. This isn't watching tornado coverage from home. You're there. Standing on an open road beneath a massive rotating storm. Feeling the inflow. Watching the structure change by the minute. Camera in your hand. Radar glowing in the chase vehicle behind you. That's what you came to Tornado Alley for. At Apex, we're not interested in calling it a day because the target is three or four hours away. If the best opportunity is somewhere else, we go after it. We'll put in the miles, make the adjustments, and chase the best setup available. Afterward, we'll grab dinner together, look through the day's photos and videos, talk storms, laugh, and get ready to do it again tomorrow.
